We’ve set a new standard in online education by combining an interactive virtual classroom in Minecraft with the advanced communication technology of Zoom. These online resources are supplemented by Minecraft themed books (fiction and non-fiction) and over 175  pages of printing sheets for a complete offline experience. Our approach stands out by offering a diverse range of accessible learning tools, including unique in-game features for iPad users.

Under the guidance of Kristen Kodama, our Minecraft virtual classroom is a meticulously crafted educational space. It’s customized to provide an interactive, engaging, and multi-sensory learning experience, resonating with students in a familiar and exciting way.

Adding a Layer to Minecraft: We go a step further than incorporating Minecraft into our curriculum. Complementing our virtual classroom, we offer over 175 offline printing sheets. Each of these worksheets correspond with a Minecraft virtual classroom. These materials extend the learning experience beyond the virtual world, supporting various sensory activities and reinforcing the concepts explored in the virtual lessons.

Customized Learning in a Virtual World: In our Minecraft virtual classroom, designed to support the Orton-Gillingham approach, we have innovatively integrated built-in flashcard generators. These enable the creation of tailored flashcard decks for both auditory and visual drills, allowing teachers to handpick and customize each flashcard deck according to the specific needs of the lesson. This feature mirrors the traditional Orton-Gillingham lesson deck selection process, thereby enabling teachers to precisely tailor auditory and visual exercises to the individual requirements of each student, significantly enhancing the overall learning experience.

Multi-Sensory and Interactive Experience: By combining Minecraft with Zoom, we offer a multi-sensory learning experience that stimulates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles.
